YOGA AND THREE PHASES OF WOMEN

Asanas and Pranayama help women deal with the Physiological and Psychological effects of menstruation maternity and menopause calmly, says yoga experts:

There are 3 most important phases in a women's life-menstruation maternity and menopause. Doing yoga asanas and pranayama exercises are helpful in dealing with all the 3 phases.

MENSTRUATION::: Women go through menstruation between puberty and menopause. Proper functioning of the ovaries ensures a healthy menstrual cycle.  Common disorders that a women experiences in this phase are painful. menstruation (dysmenorrhea) and PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome).  dysmenorrhea results in abdominal and pelvic pain. Top 10 Bachelor Degree Courses for Better Future

Top 10 Bachelor Degree Courses for Better Future

Education has always been considered as one of those tools that will aid a person to succeed in his lifetime. For many people, the modern world will be those that will be filled with the different areas that will help in the overall succession of the global perspective. Thus, in some ways, there will be those that will need to work with the newer courses offered by large and renowned Universities as these will be those that will be in demand in the current era. Assessed as degrees that will be considered to be most used, here are the top ten Bachelor Degree courses for better future

1.  Engineering

1

Technology is appraised by many as one of the most used in the world. Engineers move towards achieving the goals of creating better systems and devices that will be applied by people on their ordinary lives. From the cellular phones, the high-end television sets, and the computers, these engineers are foreseen as the masterminds of technological improvement.

2.  Robotics

2

People are into the use of robots, and the more people will work to invent these devices and machines, the more they will be appreciated. The future of the robots are very bright, and assessing the demands of the market shows there are people who want to get these machines working for them to relieve the use of humans that are more prone to errors.

3.  Computer Science

3

There are software programs that need to be designed, and the computer science course will be the guide and the support for people in this field. Without a good education, one will not uncover the secrets to what makes these programs work, and whether it can be applied for use by any person.

4.  Graphic Artists and Computer Games Programming

4

The entertainment factor plays a major part to this structure of a degree, and considering there seems to be an increase in the online gaming avenues, there will always be the need to have artists to design the games and the programs

5.  Arts and Humanities

5

Assessing the overall elements of the global industry that wants and needs to understand entertainment, there will be those that will want to study these and have a great future. There still seems to be that wide forecast of a brighter future in the entertainment industry and one can certainly work with it for a long time.

6.  Education

6

Many would question why this degree course would come in ahead of science and medicine, but the answer is simple. Most people who have been educated the right and proper way will be those that can be able to make a difference in the field of studies that will give students the right mentorship to their goals. Education means teachers and without teachers, there will be no use to gain higher education.

7.  Natural Sciences

7

Connected with the field of medicine, this is one branch of science that will have a focus on biological and physical sciences. The key to this course will be those that will have a focus on the research processes that will help the growth of humanity in terms of applications of certain normal and already applied mechanisms. Pharmacology could often be part of this and will help in the discovery of medications.

8.  Medicine

8

The field of medicine is mostly focused on those that will come from the use of the doctors and these will be the people who again will not disappear as needed entities. Doctors are considered to be part of an essential working society, and the field by which they will be working on will be those that will have a focus on not only healing, but also research that will figure out diverse remedies

9.  Criminal Justice and Law

9

Lawyers are those professions that have been considered and thought by many as a lie. Nevertheless, the future of the law and criminal justice are increasing. Included in this will be those police officers that will have an increase in need and popularity as the crime rates in various sectors are continually on the rise. Like the Business Administration, there seems to be no end to the courses like these

10.  Business Administration

10

This is one course that will be considered as an undying educational system. As long as there will be those companies that will be businesses, they will need a captain on the head. Considering the fact that most operational factors are now automated, it still needs a human presence behind to make the necessary decisions.

US warns Indian students about "predatory visa fraud rings"

US warns Indian students about "predatory visa fraud rings"

Washington: As another US university came under the scanner, the United States asked Indian students to be alert to the existence of 'predatory visa fraud rings and fraudulent document vendors'.

"We are looking into this matter, we're following the case closely, and we're in communication with the Government of India officials on it," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said on Friday, a day after a raid on the University of Northern Virginia.

Based in Annandale, a Washington suburb, the unaccredited, for-profit private university has some 2,400 students of which 90 percent are from India, mostly from Andhra Pradesh, registered at three locations in northern Virginia.

The US embassy in New Delhi has briefed the Ministry of External Affairs and the US Department of Homeland Security and the State Department have been in contact with the Indian Embassy in Washington, Toner said.

Declining to give details as an investigation is ongoing, the spokesman said "it's important to note that a hundred thousand Indians are receiving a good education at certified US institutions each year, and we certainly welcome the contribution of Indian students wishing to study in the United States."

"And of course, as always, we caution them to be alert to the existence of these so-called predatory visa fraud rings and fraudulent document vendors," he said.

Asked how US consulates or embassies in India issued visas for study at such institutions, Toner again declined comment in view of "an ongoing investigation".

"They've taken action against this school, and we're in close coordination with the Indian Government as we move forward. But beyond that, I don't want to comment on details," he said.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has warned the Northern Virginia University that it could withdraw the school's authorisation to admit foreign students.

Agency Spokesperson Cori Bassett, however, would not say why the action was taken, saying it is part of a pending investigation. The school remains open and certified and will have the chance to rebut the government's allegations.

IIM Kozhikode inducts 35 per cent women students in Post Graduate Programme|Education

IIM Kozhikode inducts 35 per cent women students in Post Graduate Programme|Education

Kochi: Continuing on its path of gender diversity for the second consecutive year, Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) has taken in large number of women students, about 35 per cent, for its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) for the 2011-13 batch.

1

Of the total 341 students for the PGP, 121 are women, IIM-K said in a press release here. This is against last year's intake of 30 per cent.

Out of the women admitted, 84 have Common Admission Test percentile between 90 and 100.

Institute Director Debashis Chatterjee says 'giving prominence to girl students has become a trend in IIM-Kozhikode.

Last year also IIM-K had the maximum number of women students among all IIMs. Girls have always performed better than boys. Even in summer placements, they have been placed in better companies, he said, adding. this was all on merit.

2

'The female students have brought greater diversity both in the learning environment as well as in their academic and social profiles. It is truly a transformation process at IIM-K whereby students whose parental income is less than a lakh per year end up with top jobs around the world', he said.

IIM-K has been the trendsetter for business schools in the country with its consistent gender diversity drive, which is now emulated by others, the release said.

IIMK had implemented the Government norms on reservations to the backward and the economically weaker sections, the release said.

Out of 121 women students, 91 have engineering background, while 15 are either commerce or economics graduate. Three women are doctors and one is a law graduate. A male student is from medical background.

3

Chatterjee says there has been a change in income profile of parents of students coming to the institute. Though this could be a trend among all IIMs, in Kozhikode 7.94 per cent students have parents whose income is less than Rs one lakh per annum, 25 per cent students have parents earning Rs 10 lakh and above. Rest of the students have parents earning Rs 4-5 lakh per annum (12.70 per cent) and Rs 5-6 lakh per annum (8.73 per cent).

In IIM-Kozhikode, a majority of students -- 63.97 per cent have parents working either in government, PSUs or NGOs. Only 9.72 per cent students are children of professionals or private sector executives, the release said. Children of businessmen comprise 13.77 per cent of total students in the Institute.

Maximum students (12.65 per cent) are from Delhi followed by 12.05per cent from Maharashtra. Students from Uttar Pradesh have fared very well and comprise 9.71 per cent of its total strength.

Two Indian kids win Nasa Price

Two Indian kids win Nasa Price

Two Class seven students of a school here have jointly won the second prize with a Romanian team in a competition conducted by NASA this year

nasa

M Srivatsan and Vasundhara Gautham of

Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram are the only participants from Tamil Nadu to win the competition.

Under 'Project IRIS' (International Research and Integration Station), they developed and designed an alternate habitat for human space settlement. The design won recognition for its detailed and in-depth representation of life and its necessities integrated in a space city.

Srivatsan said "the project was relatively easier as we imagined how life would be in another planet without the resources that Earth provides."

All basic essentials for sustaining human life - from food, sanitation, shelter and energy was provided. They also conceptualised the way of life - administration, governance, employment, culture and transportation.

"Srivatsan and Vasundhara worked for over three hours every day, brainstorming and designing this project. My only contribution was to inform them about the competition I came across on NASA website," said Manivanan, Srivatsan's father.

While Vasundhara took care of providing food and other biological aspects, Srivatsan dealt with the technical details.

The most important aspect of this project was use of 'quantum computers' which formed a crucial part of the space city and disseminated information to people via indirect interaction using dead human retina.

The duo worked on the project for less than six months and plan to participate in the same competition next year.

The Sequoia Middle School team from California, U.S.A., bagged the first prize

Income Tax Calculator, Calculate Income Tax, New Income Tax Calculator 2011-2012

 Current Tax Slabs (FY 2010-11):

  • Income upto an annual sum of Rs.1,60,000 is tax free.
  • Income in the range of Rs.1,60,001 to Rs.5,00,000 is taxable at a rate of 10%
  • Income in the range of Rs.5,00,001 to Rs.8,00,000 is taxable at a rate of 20%
  • Income above Rs.8,00,001 is taxable at a rate of 30%
Tax Slab Raisedtax -1

For the fiscal 2011-12, the FM has tweaked only the threshold income tax limit at the lowest levels of the slab which affects the commonest of the aam-aadmi. The new proposal has enhanced the exemption limit for the general category of individual tax-payers from Rs.1,60,000 to Rs.1,80,000; which will be uniform for both men and women. This will provide a uniform tax relief of Rs.2000 to every tax payer of this category.

Incremental Sops for Senior Citizens

The Union Budget 2011 has been generous for the citizens of the age group from 60 years and above. Pranab’daannounced special category of tax-paying senior citizens. The biggest beneficiaries are those aged 80 years or more.

Income Tax Calculationstax

The most pleasant news for the higher-aged tax-payers being FM’s reducing the qualifying age, from 65 years to 60 years, to be termed as Senior citizens under the Income Tax Act. Moreover, Pranab Mukherjee has also raised the exemption limit from Rs. 2,40,000 to Rs. 2,50,000 for this age-group people.

The buck doesn’t stop here! He also introduces a special category of ‘Very Senior Citizens’ – for 80 years and above – who will be eligible for a bountiful higher tax exemption of Rs.5 lakh. Its party time for them… and they do deserve it!

5 Good ways to blow your hard earned cash on Droid X Accessories

5 Good ways to blow your hard earned cash on Droid X Accessories

If you are one of the beautiful people who own a Droid X, you are already experiencing life in the rarefied air of enlightened living. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But as you walk apart from the common man who still has to actually type his texts and pay for tethering, don't think your journey of enlightenment is complete.

Here are five ways to further enhance your sanctimonious existence and live permanently beyond the unwashed:

5 good ways

1. The cost of replacing a Droid X is considerably more than the subsidized price you already paid. So protect it with a case from Otterbox.com. Otterbox has earned a reputation for engineering cell phone cases that are crazy protective and fashionable. The Defender Series Case for the Motorola Droid X is no exception. The Defender Series case offers three layers of protection: clear protective membrane, polycarbonate shell and a silicone skin. Priced at $49.95 and available in any color as long as its black, this is the kind of case you'll want wrapped around your expensive phone.

 1-1

2. Droid X owners know that sometimes a 4.3 inch screen simply won't do. They want to share what they see on their phone with friends. That's where the the Motorola Multimedia Docking Station for the Droid X comes in. The docking station charges your Droid while displaying a customizable dock screen that, for example, provides the time and weather. Best of all, you can connect the cradle/phone to your television via an HDMI cradle and show YouTube videos, photos and much more.

5 -2

3. As a Droid X owner, you don't stop being superior just because you have to drive in your car. The BlueAnt S4 hands-free car speakerphone can enhance your ego whenever you're mobile. The S4 is virtually hands-free due to its voice trigger system. It also integrates Bing-411 and Vlingo to enhance hands-free interaction. Imagine having caller ID information read to you when a call comes in, or having the S4 tell you where the next gas station is, all without having to touch the device or take your eyes off the road.

5 -3

4. You don't need no stinking Wi-Fi! Create your own hot-spot for free anywhere your carrier provides service, using PdaNet. PdaNet is a powerful app that allows you to connect to the internet using your Droid X's carrier network, without incurring additional charges. To non-Droid X owners this must sound so remarkable.

5 -4

5. After a day of being superior is so many ways to so many people, its time for a break, and a little fun. Jet Car Stunts is one of the most visually stunning games available at the Android Market. Available in a free and paid version, Jet Car Stunts maximizes your phones accelerometer, screen resolution and processing power to bring you a truly fun game you want to play often.

Well Droid X users, if you thought you were 2.0 and all that before, arm your bad self with these items and your ego will be 4G in no time.
