POST-GRADUATE INDIRA GANDHI SCHOLARSHIP
FOR: Single girl child for supporting higher education when she happens to be the only child in the family. It aims to provide to observe small family norm. Scholarships for two years (for 10 months in a year) are @ Rs.2000/- pm. 1,200 scholarships per year are to be awarded
Who can apply?
Any single girl child, being the only child of her parents, who has taken admission in first year master’s degree (regular full time) non-professional programmes in any recognized University / Postgraduate College during 2010-11. The scheme is for non-professional courses only at PG level. Distance mode is not covered.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
For: SC/ST/ physically challenged students pursuing a full-time degree in engg. 35 scholarships are to be awarded to students (refer www.ntpc coin). The amount of scholarship admissible from the second year till the final year subject to the condition that the student meets the minimum qualifying criterion for success in each year would be Rs.1,500 a month students belonging to SC/ST/ physically challenged categories pursuing full-time degree in engg in the disciplines of electrical/instrumentation/mechanical/chemical/comp.sci/electronics / telecom from a recognized college/institute and should be in the third year in the session 2010-2011. Those who have successfully completed first year degree course in 2009 and second year in 2010 in the first attempt only need apply. They should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance from any source.
Application: format given in Employment News October 16, 2010. Application should be accompanied by supporting documents and should be duly forwarded by the Head of the Institute to Deputy General Manager,(HR-Welfare), NTPC Limited, NTPC Bhawan, SCOPE Complex, Core-7,Lodi Road, New Delhi – 110 003.
